Upgraded MacBook!

Last April, “MacBook Pro got their much needed Upgrade” from the Core 2 Duo processor to the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. Now Apple is once again updating the specs of one of their beloved product; the MacBook.

Like the old Macbook, you still get the same 2GB of RAM, 250 GB of hard drive, double-layer SuperDrive, polycarbonate unibody enclosure and 13.3-inch display and still the same price for $999.

But the new MacBook has a few but significant upgrades like from the 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, it’s now using a faster 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVidia GeForce 320M graphics chipset from the old GeForce 9400M. Aside from the processor and graphics chipset upgrade, Apple also upgraded the battery, so that you can have a total of 10 hours of battery life.

But if you have extra bucks, you can upgrade your RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB; just add $100. Then the hard drive to 350 GB for $50 and $150 if you want to have 500 GB of hard drive space.

But comparing the price of the 13-inch MacBook Pro ($1,199) vs the 13-inch Macbook with 500 GB of hard drive and 4GB of RAM ($1,249), looks like a 500 GB of hard drive and 4GB of RAM of Macbook is a better deal.
