We may soon see a Psych-war between Nokia/Microsoft and Motorola/Google! In a seminar at Helsinki, Former Microsoft Exec and Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, using psywar (psychological warfare) tactics against Google (and probably their competitor?) warning them about the Google/Motorola deal could leave them high and dry.
Elop’s warning came after Google announced their plan of buying Motorola Mobility for a whopping article, and may apply an Apple-like model in creating a next Android powered phone.
Elop said in a Reuters article, “If I happened to be someone who was an Android manufacturer or an operator, or anyone with a stake in that environment, I would be picking up my phone and calling certain executives at Google and say ‘I see signs of danger ahead,'”
He later established that the Nokia-Microsoft partnership is looking to be a (very) good decision, “The very first reaction I had was very clearly the importance of the third ecosystem and the importance of the partnership that we announced on February 11, it is more clear than ever before.” Elop said.
Why the heck would you warning your enemies? If you read between the lines, it sounds as if Elop is more of a Microsoft pitchman, that’s trying to court phone manufacturer to use Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS, than the CEO of Nokia.
