Actually it’s 5 years and 1 day ago, when Steve Jobs originally unveil the first iPhone at the Macworld, which was released 6 months later. But between the day Steve Jobs announced that they’re entering the mobile phone industry until it was released, Apple received a lot of criticism from a lot of different people. Nothing stands-out more than this (video) interview of Steve Ballmer. Video after the break.

Here’s my favorite part of the video (at 1:11); “Right now we’re selling millions of millions of millions of millions of phones a year, Apple’s selling “ZERO” phones a year! In 6 months they’ll have the most expensive phone by far ever in the market place… ”

5 years later… we all know what happened! :)
