IT’S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!), these companies recently recognized by Finance Asia as “Best Managed Companies for 2012″ might help you decide to get started.
As part of their annual poll of “Asia’s Top Companies”, Finance Asia listed Ayala Corporation, Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) company and Ayala Land as top three best managed companies in the Philippines. This was based from the 265 tallied votes from investors and analysts across the region.
Other companies that were also recognized by the finance online magazine as best companies include International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Globe Telecom, Aboitiz Power, Megaworld and Manila Water tied in the 8th position and SM Investments.
Aside from being “best managed company”, Ayala Corp was also listed by Finance Asia as the top company which has the “best corporate governance” and “best corporate social responsibility”.
PLDT was also listed as the top company in the country with “best investor relations” and “most committed to a strong dividend policy”.
Other Philippine companies that were recognized in top spots include Security Bank (Best mid-cap) and EEI Corporation (Best small-cap).
Manny Pangilinan of PLDT was recognized as best CEO in the country while Ricardo Tan of Vista Land was this year’s best CFO.
Finance Asia also revealed top companies in similar categories from other Asian countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Hongkong, Taiwan, India and Korea as they approach to the release (next week) of the best managed companies in 10 key industries in the region.
