We’ve known that Microsoft will be using a new Windows Logo and it looks like after a quarter of a century Microsoft also changed their company logo, this will be Microsoft’s fifth company logo in 37 years, and the first that will have both the logo and the company name.
The new Microsoft logo looks similar to the new Windows 8 logo and in a way looks similar to the Metro UI or should I say the new “Windows 8 user interface”. The new logo is consists of 4 squares arranged like a 4 paned-window. It also uses the same 4 colors like red, green, yellow (gold) and blue and are arrange in the same order.
Together with the new logo and the upcoming release of Windows 8 and other new products this fall, it looks like Microsoft is reinventing itself that will better represent where the company is headed and not where it came from. It’s simple and minimalist and probably weeks and even months from now people will keep on talking about the new logo either good or bad. Like what they say in marketing 101, a brand’s should be distinguishable and easy to recognize which I believe Microsoft achieve with their new logo.
But for me seriously the logo looks like the logo of my old blog Teknisyan.Net that eventually was became KabayanTech.So what do you think about the new Microsoft Logo?
