With the new Playstation 4, Sony unveil a number of new features/services for the new gaming console.

On the developers side, since it’s practically a computer that has a very powerful processor and graphics card, it’ll be easy for game developers to create the game that they have in mind which is something that’s not easy with the previous generation of Playstations.

The new system will now have a new sleep function that will put the system in a low-power state when not in use preserving the game session and allowing faster boot time and loading saved games. A “SHARE button” on the controller, that Gamers can use to share their in game images and videos to their friends on social networking services such as Facebook.

Another feature that Sony unveil is the “PlayStation®App” to allow gamers to play their favorite PS 4 games using any iOS and Android powered smartphones and tablets as well as your PS Vita. They also introduced the “Remote Play” that will give gamers to pull PS4 titles from their living room TVs and play them on PS Vita’s beautiful 5-inch display over Wi-Fi connection.

The only downer in the Sony event is that they did not provide specific into on the release date and the price but Sony said it will be available before the holidays season.
